Uli Osterwalder

Mr. Osterwalder is a trained chemical engineer (Zurich, Houston). At Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Basel, he contributed to fabric and personal care innovation, later becoming Senior Marketing Manager and Scientific Adviser in Sun Care at BASF SE. In 2016, he joined DSM as Senior Scientific Adviser and in 2018 founded Sun Protection Facilitator GmbH. He works with ISO on UV protection assessment methods and currently chairs ISO technical committee TC/217 (Cosmetics). He is co-editor of the Challenges in Sun Protection series in Current Problems in Dermatology (KARGER, 2021).
